Striving for New Horizon.....
Biotechnology Society of Nepal (BSN) is an endeavor for development of biotechnology in Nepal. The motto behind establishing the society is to disseminate information and knowledge about this cutting edge technology. We are motivated to act as an active platform for interchange of academic ideas about researches and theoretical perspectives of biotechnology. In the verse of this mission, the initiation of an e-bulletin was highly esteemed. Basically, it will act as common ground to extend the knowledge resources about technological advances in the world and their implications in context to Nepal. Read More

BSN Activities
INFORMATION
As one of our main objective, BSN has been working in the field of information sharing. We have our website www.bsn.org.np. Through website, email, brochures we have been sharing all the updates and information about the activities within the society and in Nepal. We have organized dozens of seminars with the scientific communities in different occasions. Some of our venues were centered at the universities and campuses. It has been observed that such kind of interaction is conducive for the exchange of ideas between the research centres, universities, students and all the other target groups.
BSN has tried to keep pace with the rest of the world in the moving world of technological advances. Through popular social networks like facebook, twitter and blog we have been constantly in touch with our members and all the other interest groups. This probably seems to be one of the best ways to interact about science and biotechnology. We, also, have been exploring and then sharing a lot of news related to biotechnology and life-sciences. WE ARE TALKING SCIENCE HERE !!

Biotechnology Society of Nepal is motivated towards the development of biotechnology and its allied fields of sciences in context to Nepal and beyond. In this prospect, we are planning to initiate active research in different thematic areas of biotechnology such as agricultural biotechnology, medical biotechnology, plant tissue culture, molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, microbiology and biodiversity conservation.
So, we are expecting for research proposals and appraise of funding from interested institutions and researchers to work collaboratively for conduction of research in afore mentioned areas.
Any feedbacks and comments are welcome.
BIOTECHNOLOGICAL EXHIBITION
One of our peer objectives is to act as an active platform for collaboration and coordination between different stakeholders directly or indirectly associated with biotechnology. In this respect, we are planning to organize a biotechnological exhibition in Nepal which will incorporate different national and international institutions and commercial organizations conjugated directly or indirectly to biotechnology. We anticipate it will be an excellent opportunity to render information about the ins and outs of biotechnology; and the prospect and opportunities of this field.
The venue and date will be decided soon. We are expecting to make it grand success with participation of all national and cross national institutions and organizations.
Any queries and comments are welcome.
