The Biotechnology Society of Nepal (BSN), which is the largest biotechnology Society in Nepal, was established on 2007. This was established for the development of biotechnology in Nepal under the act of Nepal Government. This society initially consisted the new biotechnology graduates in Nepal. Afterwards, concomitant with the development of biotechnology in Nepal the society covers all the sector of biotechnology in Nepal
